Visitors up 29%

After eighteen days into the new season, the number of visitors coming to the park is up by nearly thirty percent.  The increase over 2009 is likely due to a number of factors. Improved weather, more folks having passports, increased marketing have all contributed to the increase.

Visitors are enjoying the tour of the Roosevelt Cottage, they are viewing the exhibits and the film in the Visitor's Centre, many are driving the carriage roads just as the Roosevelts did at the turn of the century.  The hiking trails are all clear and open.

With the opening of the ferry from Deer Island on Saturday, the island is open from the Canadian mainland.  Visitors to the Island can see the head Harbour Lighthouse, take in a round of golf, enjoy a meal, take a whale watching tour. Come to Campobello and discover the beauty of Franklin's "Beloved Island."
